Salicylic acid
Active ingredient with an high keratolytic activity, as it is able to selectively break the keratin protein chain, abundantly present in the corneocytes. On the skin, salicylic acid decreases the cohesion of the corneocytes forces. In this way is promoted desquamation of hyperpigmented keratinocytes, while stimulating cell renewal. The final effect promoted from salicylic acid is surprising: the “new” keratinocytes, being less rich in melanin pigment, give the skin a smoother look, polished and bright. In addition it is also used for its bacteriostatic properties and soothing. In fact, it is rapidly absorbed in the inflamed lesions by exercising these functions, without causing evident irritation phenomena.

Powerful anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and detoxifying active ingredients, it helps to solve
skin problems such as acne, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, pimples and blacks. It intensifies the hormone cortisol activity, dilates blood vessels improving the supply of nutrients to cells and removing dead cells. It also facilitates healing making the skin soft and clean.

Recent studies have shown the efficacy of caffeine to counteract the fall of hair. It has been observed that caffeine has a stimulating effect on the hair follicle, stopping the hair loss. Its mechanism of action is due to its ability to reduce the effects of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the hormone responsible for reducing the activity of the hair follicles. It takes just two minutes to be absorbed through the skin and quickly achieve the desired effect.

Zinc pyrithione
Active ingredient with antiseptic and antifungal activity particularly useful in all those cases in which the skin may be the site of bacterial or fungal agents, or in the case of seborrheic dermatitis and/or dandruff. In fact, in the presence of excess sebum or dandruff the skin and the scalp become the ideal environment for the proliferation of fungi or bacteria that can easily cause irritations and infections.

Omega 3
They are essential active ingredients that help to maintain healthy skin. Their benefits affect both the dry skin, than that characterized by premature aging. Even in the case of diseases such as dermatitis and psoriasis, in which the composition of the sebum is altered, a correct intake of Omega-3 helps to restore the correct proportions between the different fatty acids, which ensure the integrity and functionality of the epithelium. Omega 3 are critical components of biological membranes and the epithelial tissue. In addition also they participate in the formation of the hydro-lipid film produced in the skin and scalp from the sebaceous glands and the sweat.

It has antipruritic properties, and formulations based on Polidocanol are useful in the treatment of itchy skin and scalp.
